The Delta: The wind has limited boaters this past week on the Sacramento River, so the trolling reports were bleak. Bank and bait angling were pretty good. With the recent smolt plants in various locations in the Delta and with the winds reducing the striper fishing should pick back up. Top-water fishing for stripers has picked up the last couple weeks with reports of 30-pound fish being caught.
Sturgeon being caught from Cache Slough down, with a good bite reported in Montezuma Slough these last two weeks on eel. Ghost Shrimp best bait as you get down into more salty water.
