The White Sox held on to beat the Yankees 12-11 in a marathon game that lasted 3 hours, 15 minutes in the Lodi Boosters of Boys/Girls Sports Triple-A Championship Game on Wednesday. Both teams stranded runners on third base in the first inning — the White Sox threat ended with Munoz’s out, and the Yankees loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning. The Yankees loaded them again in the second, but this time sent two runners home via bases-loaded walks. The back-and-forth affair ended with the White Sox on top to claim the championship.
