Lodi High School football has itself a new, but familiar face. Robert Sperling was officially named the school’s new varsity head coach on Friday afternoon, ending a month-long search that followed the release of 15-year coach Todd Dillon on Nov. 16.
Sperling takes the reins after eight years on the Flames’ staff, most recently as head coach of the junior varsity team in 2012.
