Welcome home Flames. Jordan Perkins ran for 241 yards and three touchdowns, the stingy Lodi defense came up with five interceptions and after playing 11 straight games on the road, the Flames had a happy homecoming at the Grape Bowl in a 48-16 blowout over McNair in the quarterfinals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs on Thursday night at the Grape Bowl.
The historic win was not only memorable because it was the first prep football game played on the new all-weather turf at the revamped Grape Bowl, but also because Lodi now advances to its first section semifinal in the program’s history.

Could not have asked for a better Opener. Thanks Flames! Keep up the focus and hard work. Give them nothing and take from them everything. Flame On!

GREAT JOB BOYS!!! So proud of this team!! You guys are awesome!!! Now its off to work with no voice!!! :)

The crowd was there, electricity in the air. The lights bright, the field green, a close game it would seem. Once past the beginning jitters , these boys showed they are hitters. Our offense put up the score, our defense said for you no more! This team has something to prove, not a fluke and on the move. Tonight we will find out who's next, the word of OUR win has spread by newspaper and by text. To the next round they go, Lodi doesn't care who will be the foe. A lot of work, pain and fun, the 2010 Lodi High Football team is still not done!!!!

SWEEEEEEEEET! Holy Defence Bat Man. What an effort. You guys were off the hook AWESOME!!!!!!
Joey - 3 picks - REALLY.
Mettler - Pick 6
Conti - that was a beautiful pick in the endzone.
Frazier - another 2 sacks
Edsell, Herrin and Simon making the QB scramble for his life.
Beck, Colin, Ruffin - you guys were a blanket in pass coverage.
Don't even get me started on the offense. Josh and Jordan were out of their minds.
Colin - ANOTHER highlight reel touchdown. Make sure the recruiters see that one.
And the war in the trenches was awesome.
But a special shout out to the fans. After all the road warrior travel this year, you saved your best for last.
I cannot wait for next week. GO FLAMES!!!!!

Honestly, I can recall a better crowd since the infamous 76 or 77 game vs Stagg starring Dale Fisher & Mark Mendez when the lights went out and the game had to be postponed. Seemed like half the town was at the Grape Bowl last night!
To say fieldturf is fast is an understatement! Jordan Perkins looked like Flash Gordon on a couple of those runs last night.
FINALLY, a 1st Class football facility in Lodi! With progams like the Jr Flames/Tigers our high school kids will come prepared to play at the HS level. And now they have something to be proud to play in... the GB has been a pit for a long time.
Congrats Coach Dillion, Coach Bishop, the entire football staff, and the players! And kudos to the Flame parents too- it was great to see your pride in your sons last night!

It was a great game, and the field looks beautiful. I loved watching my brothers play for Lodi High at the Grape Bowl while they were in high school and seeing friends from time past and now watching theirs sons play....what a treat. Go Lodi! @Julie....your son Cody was all over that field! Congrats!
