Hitting holes and hitting Yellowjackets, Lodi's running backs were pounding and grinding on Friday night, leading the Flames to a 31-0 homecoming victory over Franklin in their San Joaquin Athletic Association opener at the Grape Bowl.

Sophomore Joey Sperling totaled 104 yards on 15 carries and junior Alex Santiago amassed 100 yards on eight carries, making up the majority of Lodi's 269 yards on the ground. The crashing style punished a building, short-numbered Franklin squad, keeping the Yellowjackets on their heels from the start.

Sperling wont have another game like he had lastweek, the main reason is perkins wont be hurt or even hurting he'll be playing, and santiago will be perkin's back-up, oh and the fact the neither one of them is a hoorble sup-par player. "LUCK" is your word of the day. Keep your grades up!!

Another win, but one of the boringest games I have ever watched. Cant wait for the last three games. They may not win them but at least it wont put the fans to sleep. Sure wish they would work more on the passing game now, since I'm sure they will need to use it against the big three in this division. Well at least they are not losing to sub par teams like the other high school in town. Go Flames!!
