His first college football landing spot left much to be desired, so Collin Rhoads came back and started fresh. The wait — and the work — was worth it.

Lodi High School's former star receiver, who has played at San Joaquin Delta College for the past two years, will now be hauling in passes for one of the country's top NAIA programs. Rhoads recently signed with Montana's Carroll College, a diminutive school with big football exploits. The 1,500-student private college has won six of the last 10 national titles and 11 conference championships in 12 years.
