Boys water polo: Lodi Flames in transition, but not lacking in talent

Can a team with one of the country’s best players be “in transition”? Courtney Porter thinks so. Coming off a trip to the section semifinals in his first year as coach of the Lodi Flames varsity boys water polo team, Porter enters this fall with a uniquely top-heavy roster.

At the forefront is incoming senior Nic Carniglia, a reigning All-American who is currently playing with the U.S. Youth National Team at a tournament in Argentina.
