Lodi High School Athletic Director Erin Aitken

“(Because of cuts) we didn’t have to fire this teacher and that teacher. I understand that. But at the same time, I see what athlet-ics do and how they contribute to students and the community.”

Lodi Unified School District Superintendent Cathy Washer

“If athletic funding came up as a theme it is something (the board) could look at. “When (athletics) was first cut, it was a concern that we heard from people.”
