Running back Zack Giuliano ran for 196 yards and four touchdowns and a brawling Hilmar Yellowjackets defense held Liberty Ranch to just 96 yards on the ground in a 37-7 win over the Hawks on Friday night in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV semifinals.

Liberty Ranch running back John Wiernicki, the second-leading rusher in the state with 205 yards per game, was held to 86 yards on 12 carries, including a 67-yard rumble to paydirt in the first quarter. That would be all the scoring for the Hawks, who averaged 44 points per contest coming into the game.
