St. Mary’s High football coach Tony Franks watched his receivers drop two passes in the end zone and saw two long touchdowns negated by penalties. The Rams were less than their best in the final game of the regular season, but they were good enough.

St. Mary’s overcame the absence of three top players and withstood a fourth-quarter comeback to beat Tokay 40-21, finishing Tri-City Athletic League play unbeaten for the fourth consecutive season.
