Coach Israel was great! He always had a joke and he loved to win. I remember when he started the Grape Games and he and My Dad ran 1st and 2nd leg.He taught us how to be a team and work together to win. My senior year he took me to the Simplot Games in , Idaho and a Utah Jazz basketball game I will never forget all the track exposure he gave me. I still continue that attitude toward my adult challenges in life . God Bless and Keep his Family because he will be missed. I am a 1990 graduate of Tokay High School La'Nia Brice.

Ken was a tough adversary on the field but when the competition was over you could count on him for support. Ken was the type of person that made the world a little better one kid at a time. I know he has impacted many students during his tenure at Tokay High School. He will certainly be missed.

Ken (Mr. Israel) as I knew him was an amazing man and a great track coach. I was on the Tokay Track Team and graduated in 1996! During my time on the team we attended the Santa Barbara Easter Relays and I rode shotgun on the ride back! Ken introduced me to Gin Blossoms and I'm still a fan to this day! Regardless of who you were, Ken always knew how to relate to you. I will always have those memories with me! My thoughts and prayers go out to Ken's family in this time of loss.
