The Tokay Tigers varsity boys basketball team kept up with the red-hot St. Mary’s Rams for the better part of three periods. But with a stingy defense and dynamic offense, the Rams began to pour it on late in the third, outplaying the Tigers for a 55-43 victory in The Jungle at Tokay High School on Friday night.
The Rams (15-7, 6-0 Tri-City Athletic League) outscored the Tigers 24-12 in the second half. St. Mary’s forced 14 Tokay turnovers and offensively was sparked by Gabriel Vincent, who had a game-high 24 points.
