If a basketball team is essentially an extension of the head coach and his personality, then the Galt High Warriors will be a force to be reckoned with this season under new head coach Carl Chapin.

Chapin replaces Mike Turpin, who unexpectedly departed for the second time in three years after leading the Lady Warriors to a 22-6 record overall, including 10-2 in the Sierra Valley Conference. Galt won its playoff opener before being upset by Woodcreek of Roseville in the quarterfinals.
