After rain canceled the Lodi Glory's 2011 season opener on Wednesday against the Lodi American Legion baseball team at Tony Zupo Field, the Glory finally got to open it's season on Friday with a 9-5 win to Fresno Cardinals at St. Mary's High School.

Outfielder Josh Grijalva, a former player at Galt High School who currently plays for San Joaquin Delta College, provided the power for the Glory, hitting a three-run homer. Former Lodi High star Patrick Armstrong, the Glory's first baseman who plays for Sacramento City College, went 2-for-4 for Lodi. Trent Woodward also went 2-for-4 for the Glory.
