The Flames recorded three pins and got help from two forfeits, but it wasn't enough to carry the Lodi varsity wrestling team to a victory as it fell to Lincoln 40-33 on Thursday in its San Joaquin Athletic Association opener.

Lodi's Luke Jump pinned Francisco Lopez in the 103-pound match, Ryan Henry got a pin over Lincoln's 140-pounder Eli Nagle and Khenyada Beck pinned Davis Burnett in the 145-pound contest. Brennan Pacheco (130 pounds) and Jacob Holley (135) both picked up decision victories for the Flames, will 160-pounder Estaban Contreras and heavyweight Kevin Schmeirer won by forfeits.
