Taylor Barsi says she was due for a big hit. Her timing couldn't have been better. With two outs and the score tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Barsi blasted a ball deep into the outfield for a triple that plated Kacey Lutz with the game-winning run, lifting the Lodi Flames varsity softball team to a 3-2 victory over the Franklin Yellowjackets on Thursday at the Lodi Softball Complex.
"I'd been struggling a little bit the whole game, but I came through in the end, and it felt awesome," said Barsi, who finished with two hits.
