Tokay forward Kyle Rivers had 11 points to lead a balanced scoring attack and a tenacious Tiger defense forced 22 turnovers in a 62-40 win over the McNair Eagles in varsity boys basketball action in The Jungle at Tokay High School on Friday.

Tokay (9-11, 2-2 Tri-City Athletic League) evened its league record at .500 by picking up its second consecutive win after opening with a pair of losses. The Eagles (1-18, 0-4 TCAL) didn’t provide much resistance after the first quarter but the victory gave the Tigers confidence heading into its game against Edison next Wednesday.
