Opposing defenses often knew what was coming, but it was tough to stop anyway. Kirstin Kielhold to Kaitlin Drake was a winning combination all year long for Lodi High's volleyball team — Kielhold lofting the ball up to her senior teammate, who delivered punishing kills on the outside.
And the two were rewarded for their efforts this fall, joining four other Flames players to receive all-league honors. Drake was named the San Joaquin Athletic Association's offensive player of the year, with Kielhold recognized as the top setter.
