Lodi High varsity assistant football coach Pete Cabrera has a passion for the game. And as a member of the Unites States Army National Guard, Cabrera has a passion for serving his country.

Cabrera, whose military classification is SPC-E4, recently completed a 14-month tour of duty at the Q-West military base in Alquera, Iraq. He returned on Aug. 6, just in time to help coach the Flame running backs and linebackers this season. He previously served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-1988 and has served with the National Guard since 2004.
