Lodi High freshman Kirsten Kielhold made her first varsity volleyball game count, recording 18 assists and eight digs to help the Flames defeat Chavez 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-22) in San Joaquin Athletic Association action on Tuesday night in Stockton.
Kielhold was expected to play a significant role as setter this season for Lodi, but suffered a hip injury in tryouts. Lodi head coach Krista Brereton initially thought the injury could sideline Kielhold for the rest of the season, but now she is back and the Flames have six SJAA regular season matches left.
