The Tokay Tigers varsity football team played with inspiration and purpose at the Grape Bowl in Lodi on Friday. After discovering that teammate Andrae Sanchez was taken to UC Davis Medical Center on Friday to begin chemotherapy due to a malignant tumor, the Tigers decided to shave their heads. And although you couldn’t see their shaved heads on the field, you could see Tokay’s intense play in a 58-7 victory over the McNair Eagles.

Kelse DePauli-Wiltse threw for two touchdowns and ran for 117 yards and a score in the win. Kyle Fleming scored three times, with one touchdown coming on the ground, one through the air and another on a kickoff return.
