In 2008, Stephanie Brown Trafton wowed the world with her surprise discus title in Beijing. Now, four years later, can Galt’s golden girl be the queen on a homecoming of sorts?

Competing in her mother’s homeland, Brown Trafton will be looking to defend her Olympic title at these London Games. As the reigning American record-holder and Olympic trials champion, she figures to be right in the thick of the medal hunt when qualifying begins on Aug. 3.
