Lodi’s Brianna Mendez makes early runs hold up

With the tying run on third base and her team clinging to a 2-1 lead in the seventh inning, Lodi Flames pitcher Brianna Mendez insists she had no butterflies when the Grace Davis Spartans sent pinch-hitter Jorden Brome to the plate with two outs.

"I felt no pressure. I knew I had a great defense behind me," Mendez said. "I was not nervous at all. It really was a fun time."
