The Tokay Tigers varsity girls basketball team kept up with the visiting Edison Vikings and made it a close game for three quarters. But the Tigers squandered a lead late in the third period as the Vikings went on a 21-7 run and won, 54-41, on Tuesday night at The Jungle.

"We stopped playing focused," Tokay coach Jennifer Bauer said. "We had too many turnovers and we gave them too many easy shots. When they had to work for their shot, we had a legit chance. And then they got too many rebounds, and got too many second and third shots. Those little things are really it."
