Accomplishment: Two weeks ago, Cheyanne Carpenter tied for second place in the cutting event at the 2010 National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette, Wyoming.

Each participant was given two-and-a-half minutes per round to cut three calves from the herd. Heading into the event, Carpenter said her horse, Oaks Litl Smartypants, was sore from the 22-hour long drive from California to Wyoming and didn’t appear to be ready.

Great job Chey and Shorty. I am so proud of my neice Cheyanne, she is such an amazing girl and can accomplish what ever goals she sets for herself. What an accomplishment at only 14 years old. Way to go Cheyanne.
