Tokay 9, Edison 1 Softball: Tigers rout Vikings

Sam Lew had a double, two singles and four RBIs as the Tokay Tigers varsity softball team closed out the regular season with a 9-1 win over the  Edison Vikings in Stockton on Friday.

Lauren Garoutte had three hits and drove in two runs and Laura Lopez and Britany Heinle eaach had two hits. Korina Krueg, Katie Lopez and Jenna Schneider each singled. Pitcher Mariah Mendoza allowed one hit and fanned nine batters in three innings of work and Alyssa Casillas allowed one hit and struck out six in three innings for the Tigers (7-3 Tri-City Athletic League).
