Earlier this year, George Bozovich asked about starting a girls wrestling team at Tokay High School. The response he got from longtime boys coach Rod Gaines was, “Sure, if you want to run it.”

A few months later and Bozovich heads Tokay’s first girls wrestling team. The Tigers are the latest girls program to pop up, following the likes of Bear Creek, Edison and McNair. Tokay will host its first Lady Tiger Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday.
