Baseball/Softball All-Star Classic Softball: South erases late 6-run deficit in win over North

Trailing by seven runs entering the bottom of the sixth inning in the 23rd All-Star Softball Classic on Thursday, the South rallied to tie the game and then eked out one more run in the seventh to beat the impending darkness and win 11-10 at San Joaquin Delta College’s Bucky Layland Softball Complex.

“We were down and we came back,” Manteca High and South coach Corey Navarro said. “They went out and played hard. They never quit, and it is all about these girls.”
