What’s done is done. The Lodi Flames varsity boys basketball team is moving on. After finishing as the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II runner-up in Saturday’s 77-55 loss to Antelope, the Flames now turn their attention to hosting the Las Lomas Knights of Walnut Creek in the first round of the NorCal Division II playoffs at 7 p.m. today in The Inferno at Lodi High School.

The Flames have had four days to lick their wounds following a 22-point loss to Antelope at Sacramento’s Power Balance Pavilion. Lodi had its poorest 3-point shooting game of the year, going just 1-of-18 from beyond the arc.

Wow. First Gonzalves; "we should have won that game", now this from Michelucci:
“We did not give it our all against Antelope,” said senior center Brandon Michelucci, who scored 14 points against the Titans in the section final. “We just need to step it up for this game.”

Sorry folks, these kids need to learn how to lose. Making excuses and not giving credit to the opponent looks bad. They lost by 22 because Antelope outplayed them. The idea Lodi players didn't give their all is ridiculous. Major sour grapes. Hoping there won't be more excuses from players after tonight's game. They should win...
