Lodi splits track and field meet with Bear Creek

The Lodi Flames varsity track and field club split its dual meet with Bear Creek Bruins on Thursday. The Flames' girls cruised to a 110-35 victory, improving to 2-1 in the San Joaquin Athletic Association. The boys fell to 1-2, getting edged on the final event in a 69-67 loss.

Sprinter Carlie Buchanan was a double winner for the varsity girls, taking both the 100 meters (in 12.85 seconds) and the 200m (26.88). Katie Westerterp took the 110m hurdles (16.94), Cassidy Daley won the 1600 (5:56) and Arianna Schwabauer captured the 400 (1:04) for Lodi.
