And on they go. After competing Saturday at the Sac-Joaquin subsection meet in Angels Camp, the Lodi and Tokay cross country teams will be sending 33 combined runners to next weekend’s section meet in Folsom.
Competing out of Division II, the Flames advanced three different squads — both the varsity boys and girls, and the freshman-sophomore girls — and two individuals. The Tigers, also in D-II, got a stellar first-place showing from their freshman-sophomore girls and will move on three other individuals.

Colin Anderson's contribution to the Lodi Cross Country team in this his first year as a runner was immense. He earned the right to advance to Sections and Colin is more than willing to attend. Mr. Anderson is also a leader on the Wrestling team. Right now he is a role player for Cross Country but I felt it was important to Coach Mettler's program to have Colin at Wrestling from the start. I am hoping to go to CIF State Wrestling Tournament this year to watch Colin Anderson wrestle. This was my decision based on what was best for Colin. This was not Colin's decision. He is a great kid! Go Flames!
