Tokay 69, St. Mary's 56 Girls track and field: Tigers defeat Rams

The Tokay Tigers varsity girls track and field team came out on top in their Tri-City Athletic League opener, surging ahead to beat the St. Mary's Rams 69-56 after trailing by three with three events to go.

Jannell Hadnot won the triple jump (38-8) and Emily Sousa took the 3200 (12:56) to seal the win for Tokay. Both of them won multiple events, as Sousa also took the 1600 (5:42.12), while Hadnot won the 100-meter hurdles (16.44), long jump (17-3) and high jump (5-0). Katianna Parisis set a personal record in the discus (108-5.5) and Logan Andres won the pole vault (6-6).
