Nate Diaz solidified himself as the next in line for a UFC lightweight title shot with a second-round submission over Jim Miller in the main event of UFC on Fox 3 on Saturday at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J.
Diaz became the first fighter to stop Miller inside the distance. Diaz out-boxed Miller before securing a guillotine choke and getting the tap out with less than a minute left in the second round. Diaz picked up a $65,000 bonus for submission of the night.
