The Minnesota Twins have agreed to terms with former starting shortstop Jason Bartlett on a minor league contract that includes an invitation to spring training.
The Twins announced the deal on Wednesday among several other minor moves. Bartlett, a Lodi native who played at St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, is one of 11 non-roster players who’ll be in camp. The 34-year-old did not appear in the majors last season, but he was a regular for six years, with Minnesota, Tampa Bay and San Diego. Bartlett was a contributor to playoff teams with the Twins in 2006 and Rays in 2008 and 2010.
