Flames get defensive in boys water polo win over Trojans

All season long, the Lodi Flames varsity boys water polo team rode its new up-tempo offense to victory. On Tuesday morning at Tokay High School, the Flames got defensive.

En route to securing a trip to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I semifinals for the first time in three years, Lodi clamped down on the Oak Ridge Grizzlies — allowing just one goal in the opening half and turning the Trojans away late in a 9-7 slugfest.
