It’s more than a rematch. This one is to go further than the Lodi High football program ever has since the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs started in 1971. This one is to christen a new field at a revamped historic stadium.

When Lodi (8-3) hosts McNair (8-3) tonight in the quarterfinals of the Division I playoffs at the newly-reopened Grape Bowl, the Flames will be playing for a spot in the section semifinals.

    Mr. Carlson,

This is Zack on my fathers account. I appreciate the compliments to the O-Line and trying to give us a little recognition. I know you realize how underappreciated the lineman are in the paper's eyes, if only they knew. haha. Thank you again for the shout-out to us!

"The Flame offensive line buys Armstrong time to run Lodi’s plays and has opened holes all season for the Flame backfield. "

This is a typical quote from the LNS all year.

The LNS has done a great job of covering the team this year, but not one offensive lineman had been named in a story all year. This is the 12th game of the season. It is time to share the love for the "big uglies" up front.

    #52 Guard Cooper "Booger" Driggs
    #70 Tackle Zack Tigert
    #74 Tackle "Big" Roy Navaro
    #71 Center Jonathan "J-dog" Carlson
    #55 Guard Luke "Smiley" Simon
    #72 Tackle Brian Collins
    #54 Guard Pablo Munoz

This group of lineman have played their hearts out. They have played through injuries and come together to get better and better. I am not sure, but I think Joey has been sacked only 4 times this year. Collins and Munoz have filled in admirably for Simon and Big Roy and Zack when they got injured. I think Booger has played every offensive snap this year. I can't even count how many QB sneaks for first downs and touchdowns Joey has run.

I am so proud of all of you. No one at LNS wants to put your names in the paper, but we do appreciate you.

It all starts up front. Now go out and kick some ..... Make some headlines for your QB and running backs.
