It is rivalry week at Erv Hatzenbuhler Field as Galt hosts Liberty Ranch in the second-ever varsity football game between the two neighboring high schools.

The Warriors whipped the Hawks, 50-14, in last season’s inaugural game and Liberty Ranch is eagerly awaiting the rematch — but not for the reasons one might think.

This will be a good game and what I would like everyone to know is that we have friends at the rival school LRHS and we will be friends after the game as well. This game will not define who we are as Warriors. A true warrior is one who attends school and practice, who gives his all on and off the field, who plays with his heart thoughout the intire game and I for one would like to see my school win but even if they don't it don't matter to me as I know that the team is out there playing with their hearts not for the school, not for the coaches but for themselves. and also I think the whole rival thing is just the Parents making it more of an issue then the students. Grow up your the parents and we are the children, lead by example. GO WARRIORS! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
