Coach/year: Brian Campbell is in his first season.
League: Tri-City Athletic League.
Last year: Tokay finished second in the TCAL standings (8-2) and advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I South tourney, where the Tigers placed eighth.
Key returners: Emily Scroggins, Darcie Castelanelli, Alex Castelanelli, Julie Kanemura, Meghan Koepplin.
Key addition: Mandy Sieglock.
League favorite: St. Mary’s.
Noteworthy: Campbell replaces Gary Haas, who stepped down after last season following 11 seasons at the helm. ... Tokay’s trip to the postseason in 2011 was its first since 2008. ... Castelanelli was fourth at last year’s TCAL tourney.
Galt Warriors
Coach/year: Robert Lemmon is in his first season.
League: Sierra Valley Conference.
Key returner: Marina Becerra.
Last season: Galt finished second in the SVC and advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV tourney, where the Warriors placed sixth.
Key additions: Seniors Candice Cam and Danielle Hazlett.
Noteworthy: Lemmon says there is only one returner from last year’s playoff squad, but he looks forward to building a solid team and a fun atmosphere.
