Lodi's Michael Wendt won a back-and-forth battle over the final four laps by edging Modesto's Mike Beeler by a bumper at the checkered flag for a victory in the Western Late Model main event last Saturday nigh at Stockton's 99 Speedway.

Danville's Tim Spurgeon led most of the 50-lap race, but was involved in an accident with Tracy's Justin Philpott on lap 46 that set up the furious four-lap finish between Wendt and Beeler.
