The Tokay Tigers varsity baseball team’s league-championship season got off to a rocky start. Entering their Tri-City Athletic League opener, the Tigers had dropped three straight and five of six, their bats inconsistent and their defense porous. They turned things around at just the right time.
Despite an early playoff exit against Pitman, Tokay (16-13) put together an accomplished spring that included a share of the team’s first TCAL title since 2006.
