Tokay’s Nicole Buzo rising to occasion in senior year

Over easy isn’t just a way of cooking eggs. It’s also the result when Tokay High School’s Nicole Buzo high jumps.

The senior, who is bouncing back from an ankle injury that sidelined her for a large chunk of the season, cleared all five of her jumps on the first try and was the only athlete to jump over the bar set at 5 foot, 3 inches to take first place at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I track and field championships at Elk Grove High School on Friday.
