The Lodi Glory dropped its first game of the season, falling to the Redding Colt 45s 8-1 in summer collegiate baseball action on Tuesday night in Redding.

Scheduled Glory starting pitcher Corey Davis was scratched from the lineup after the right-hander felt pain in his throwing arm during warmups. Eric Watts got the start instead. Tim McNamara and Freddy Solari each pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the Glory (1-1) and Joe Conway had two hits. Lodi will play a doubleheader at Redding today starting at 5 p.m.
