In a back-and-forth game, the ball bounced Tracy’s way in the end.
After the Flames (4-3, 1-1 San Joaquin Athletic Association) had rallied to take the lead with under a minute left, the Bulldogs had a final prayer answered when a long pass bounced off a Lodi defender and into the arms of a Tracy receiver for the winning score with about half a minute remaining.
Lodi trailed 20-13 when they mounted a drive with under two minutes left. After Christian Keller hauled in a TD pass from Grayson Dillon to pull the Flames within one, Lodi went for the lead instead of the tie. The gamble paid off as Vincent Cecchetti hauled in a pass from Dillon to put Lodi up 21-20.
Earlier, Cecchetti scored on a 3-yard run and Jacob Coons had a 16-yard TD run.
Anthony Jory ran for 127 yards and Dillon threw for 127 yards for the Flames. Shane Finley led the defense with three sacks and Cody Vollmer and Leyton Judd each added one sack.

When the Lodi Flames pulled off a perfect onside kick to start the second half, Friday night suddenly featured shades of Chavez.
The Flames were down 20-7 at the break, but not quite out. Another stirring rally was in the works ... right? Not exactly.
