Lodi Flames tailback Josh Mastro has made his season in the spotlight count. After excelling off the bench for the Flames in place of the injured Jordan Perkins, Mastro put together a fabulous senior season that has earned him the San Joaquin Athletic Association's Co-Offensive Back honors, along with Lincoln Trojans quarterback Zack Greenlee.
A steady, patient runner, Mastro topped the 1,000-yard plateau and tallied double-digit rushing touchdowns for Lodi in 2011. He was at his best during the conference season, which saw the Flames finish in second place with a 4-1 league record and earn a section playoff spot. Mastro tallied 10 scores over five SJAA games, including a dazzling 99-yard touchdown scamper against Bear Creek that put him over 1,000 yards on the year.
