Collin Rhoads

Posted: Friday, April 1, 2011 12:00 am | Updated: 8:06 am, Fri Apr 1, 2011.

More than half the time the Lodi High football team attempted a pass last season, the ball ended up in the hands of Collin Rhoads.

The 5-10, 175-pound wide receiver reeled in long bombs and made numerous diving catches in the end zone to finish the season not only as the Flames' leading receiver in 2010, but the best in the San Joaquin Athletic Association as well with 55 receptions for 1,100 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Congratulations on the opportunity to play something you love to do at the next level. It is a fortunate thing for you to be able to play a sport and receive an education and you are more than deserving. Enjoy the ride as it goes by way too fast, appreciate every moment and have no regrets. I am sure your parents and grandparents are very proud of you and now you have another family that are Mountaineer fans! Best of luck.

Congratulations Colin. We wish you the very best. You deserve this reward for the hard work you have put into football at Lodi.

I still think you look like Wes Welker on the field, and I expect that when you get to Colorado, they will see it too and you will be a two way star for them.

Make sure your dad updates LNS with your stats every game. We want to follow your college carreer back home.

    Congrats again Colin. Well done.
