Boys basketball: Flames feeling confident

Despite losing top four scorers, Lodi still gunning for SJAA title

There is no talk of rebuilding for Dave Nutting. In fact, the 10th-year Lodi Flames varsity boys basketball coach is quite confident.

The core group that won the last three San Joaquin Athletic Association co-championships has graduated. That includes 2013 SJAA MVP Jordan Belasco and 2012 MVP Brandon Michellucci as the Flames open their season Dec. 2. They play at Stagg in the foundation game at 8 p.m.
