Five months after tearing his ACL while quarterbacking for the Lodi High School football team, Joey Armstrong is back on the baseball diamond.

The star shortstop, who missed the entire 2011 baseball season for the Flames, returned to action with a single, a walk, two runs scored and two stolen bases in helping the Lodi Legion Senior team defeat Sonoma County 6-5 in its first game of the Vipers 4th of July Tournament at Sacramento State College on Thursday.
