And then there were two. Lodi High School came into Thursday’s Masters Championships with six wrestlers, but after a grueling day of competition on the mat, only a pair — seniors Jake Holley and Daniel Frazier — made it on to the second day.
Both grapplers went 2-1 at the double-elimination tournament in Stockton Arena, losing in the quarterfinals. Frazier (195 pound class) and Holley (152) must both win their opening matches today to be in position to advance to the State Championship meet. A win gets them into the medal round, where they can finish between third and eighth. The top seven wrestlers in each class move on.
