Brett Young went 4-for-4 at the plate and pitchers Noah Hennecke and Eric Chen combined to scatter five hits as the Lodi Flames varsity baseball team upended the Lincoln Trojans 6-4 in Stockton on Tuesday.

With the win over the Trojans (10-9, 6-4 San Joaquin Athletic Association), the Flames (14-9, 9-2) moved into a first-place tie with Tracy (17-6, 9-2) to set up today’s crucial away-and-home series with the Bulldogs at 4 p.m. in Tracy. The two teams will also play on Friday at Zupo Field in Lodi, also at 4 p.m.
