California Cougars under-14 girls soccer team wins tournament

The Cougars won the championship of the Copa Roja, held in Redwood City this past weekend. The Cougars defeated Mountain View Los Altos 1-0 in the final, with Alexis Vilarino scoring the lone goal on an assist from Madison Barbara. Keeper Giana Ponce recorded the shutout.

The Cougars were undefeated in prelims, tying host Roja Madera Redwood City 0-0 before defeating Alliance FC 3-0 and Marin FC 5-0
